Great news ! We have received tremendous response from near and far for this festival. We have crews coming all the way from
Australia, Indonesia and Singapore; and not forgetting other states of Malaysia. Those who have not submitted their entries,
please hurry and don’t miss the boat.
Competition Regulations and Racing Rules
This race will comply with IDBF Competition Regulations and will be under the IDBF Rules of Racing.
Please take note that the information in this bulletin will supersedes the earlier bulletin.
Confirmed Entry Form
All participating crews are required to return the Confirmed Entry Form together with Entry Fee to PIDBF no
later than 15 October 2011.
Divisions, Racing & Competition Classes and Distances
The Competition Divisions, Racing and Competition Classes that will be contested are listed (X) below,
provided a minimum of 4 entries are received for each competition class.

Division Premier – the primary class of racing. There are no restrictions on competitor’s age. Open to all crews.
Senior 40 – Aged 40 years and above (born on or before year 1971); with the exception of the drummer.
Junior Under 18 – Aged 12 years but under 18 years (born between year 1994 and 1999); with the exception of the steerer (helm).
Junior Under 23 – Aged 12 years but under 23 years (born between year 1989 and 1999); with the exception of the steerer (helm).
Racing Class Open – no restriction on crew composition (gender)
Women – for female crews only including the Drummer and Steerer
Mixed – DB22 : minimum of eight (8) and maximum of twelve (12) female paddlers
DB12 : minimum of four (4) and maximum of six (6) female paddlers
Relay – Each club will form two DB12 crews to race over a 250m course. Eg; In each race Crew A from each club will start
at the Finish Line (in either Lane 2, 4 or 6) and race to the 250m Start Line. When Crew A crosses the Start Line and
pass a flag to Crew B (in either Lane 1, 3 or 5), Crew B will then race back to the Finish Line to complete the relay race.
